Background

Originally established in 2011, the Clinical Studies Group (CSG) was re-launched, with generous support from Diabetes UK, and working in collaboration with the NIHR Clinical Research Network, in September 2017. In 2019, the decision was taken to split the CSG into two separate groups, one focusing on endocrine conditions (supported by NIHR), the other on diabetes (supported by Diabetes UK).

Currently

The Diabetes UK Research Steering Group 7 (Young people with diabetes) continues to function (chaired by Professor May Ng MBE) and you can visit the Diabetes UK page for further information.

The paediatric endocrine clinical studies group (chaired by Dr Indi Bannerjee) is no longer supported by NIHR and has ceased to function for now, but options are currently being explored by BSPED.
