The UK standards for Paediatric Endocrinology have been recently updated by the BSPED and are now endorsed by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. The standards apply to all children and young people aged 0-18 years with an endocrine condition. The aims of the standards are to reduce variability in care and to ensure that equitable services providing high quality, safe and effective care are available to all children and families across the UK. The standards are intended for healthcare professionals and for service commissioners to plan, deliver and quality assure paediatric endocrine services.
The standards have been uploaded to the BSPED website and can be found here.
