In light of the current global outbreak of the novel Covid-19 virus, I want to send you my continued support and best wishes; I hope you, your colleagues and your families are staying healthy through this challenging period of uncertainty.
In light of the still very present global pandemic, the BSPED Executive Committee has made the decision to move the BSPED 2021 Annual Meeting to a virtual format to ensure it can still go ahead.
We are delighted to be able to release the new dates of the 48th Annual Meeting, which will take place from Tuesday 2nd-Thursday 4th November 2022 at the ICC in Belfast. The BSPED Meeting, due to take place in Manchester, in 2022 will now take place in 2023 and the subsequent Meetings will similarly be pushed back. We would like to thank all of the future local convenors for their understanding about the impact the postponed Meeting has on the schedule
Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we confirmed the new dates and began transferring the scientific programme and other arrangements. We believe moving the Annual Meeting to a virtual format was the best decision regarding the health, safety, and well-being of our delegates, speakers, exhibitors and other stakeholders and we very much look forward to coming together again next year.
For the latest updates, including details regarding registration and abstract submission, please keep an eye on our website, social media channels and the BSPED newsletter.
The BSPED Team has relocated to work from home, but continue to support our members and committees as before. Those of you needing further information are able to contact them by phone and email as usual.
Our thoughts and best wishes are with you all, and especially those working tirelessly to overcome the challenges presented at this unprecedented time.
