Becoming a member of the Clinical Trials Audit Group (top)
There are two ways of becoming a member of the Audit Group:
- Membership by election - following the standing down of an existing member.
- BSPED members whose studies are adopted by the Audit Group will be invited to join the Audit Group as co-opted members.
Elected representatives of the group will be expected to have some experience of clinical trials, EU regulations and GCP requirements, and be prepared to attend 4 meetings a year to discuss proposals submitted from the BSPED membership. They may also be required to attend clinical study group meetings arranged by the MCRN which debate specific trials for national adoption by the MCRN.
For further information contact the Clinical Trials Audit Group.
Developing new studies (top)
Members of the Clinical Trials Audit Group welcome discussion of ideas for new projects. Contact can be made by e-mail. Please submit a summary using the one page pro forma. All suitable studies will also be referred to the Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinical Studies Group for consideration of adoption by the MCRN and the DRN.
