 Nurses - Education

spacer

Attendance by nurses at the annual autumn meeting is steadily increasing, during which we have a concurrent session using case presentations to highlight nursing and practical issues and feedback on new developments.

We are also welcome to attend the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health Spring meeting held in York, at which there is one day of endocrinology and diabetes. See the RCPCH website for more information http://www.rcpch.ac.uk.

Following the success of the module at diploma level held at Keele University, consideration is being given to further develop a module at degree level and/or distance learning. If you would be interested in this then please contact Pauline Musson (023 8079 8719 or Pauline.musson@suht.swest.nhs.uk).

The Society for Endocrinology organises a nurse-training course each September. This is on a rolling four year programme and has both adult and paediatric sessions. Contact Ann Lloyd. 01454 642200 or email info@endocrinology.org for more information.
