The guidelines included in these pages have been approved by the BSPED and reflect the Society's views on best current practice for the average patient. Guidelines for the management of Gender Identity Disorder (GID)
in Adolescents and Children

These guidelines are currently being renewed and ratified. It is the BSPED view that this condition should only be managed by appropriately experienced multidisciplinary teams.
