TWINKLE
The latest version of TWINKLE will be available from the beginning
of September. Included in this update is a routine to allow data
for the NCASP audit to be easily extracted and an appropriate
file created. Existing TWINKLE users can either request a CD ROM
or download the update from the HICOM website. In either case
you will only be able to do this if your subscription is up to
date. There is a button which allows you to specify the time period
over which you want data to be gathered and then creates an appropriate
.csv file. You will still need to do all the other things mentioned
above such as getting Caldicott guardian clearance, accumulating
NHS numbers etc. but the actual file creation will be much easier.
Full details on how to obtain the update will be included in the
letter sent out to all existing users and those who may be interested
in obtaining TWINKLE can contact HICOM directly on 01483 794945.
Apart from the NCASP export routine, the new version contains
significant improvements including an export routine for transferring
data directly to DIAMOND, the adult version of the database, for
those whose adult departments are using this software as long
as this has the appropriate import routine. It also included a
laptop module which allows selected data to be transferred from
one computer to another.
Full details of these changes together with the additional fields
(for HDL and LDL, TTG etc.) are given in the letter from HICOM.
